Scotia Homes can now proceed with the launch of a new webpage that will detail its ambitions for what it calls “Glenview”, south of Westfield Loan and west of Strathview.

The housebuilder has proposed building 125 homes on an eight hectare plot of agricultural land, in a 38.8-hectare zone Angus Council has allocated for a total of 300 dwellings.

Muir Homes, the Inverkeithing-based housebuilder, has already submitted an application for another 175 homes on a 12.85-hectare plot in the same area.

Angus planning officers have flagged up what they believe will be the key issues raised during the consultation in a paper presented to the council’s development standards committee meeting, The Courier reports.

They have predicted that potential impacts on existing residences, the number of dwellings proposed on the land and existing road infrastructure will raise questions when a formal planning application is submitted.

Scotia proposes hosting a virtual Q&A session in conjunction with Forfar Community Council during which the public will be able to ask Scotia executives questions about the plans.
