Stirling Council’s planning panel approved an application by Morrison Community Care Ltd for the 50-bed facility at the former Livilands Bowling Club, off Randolph Road.
Designed by Holmes Miller Architects, the two-storey build seeks to complement the residential character of the surrounding area while maximising amenity space and views to the Ochil Hills.
In a statement the architects wrote: “It is proposed to use a limited palette of high-quality materials throughout the external fabric of the building. The materials have been carefully chosen to ensure the proposed development complements the context it sits within.”
Among other conditions attached to the consent, recommended by council planners, is that the company should pay a financial contribution of £3,761 towards the City Transport Plan and double yellow lines be placed in part of Randolph Road.
