Glasgow-based Arc-Tech (Scotland) has been appointed to the University of Edinburgh’s ‘Mechanical Works and Associated Services’ framework.

The Framework Agreement will enable the firm to tender for the provision of reactive maintenance, planned works, and associated services to all mechanical plant and equipment within the University’s 550+ sites located across the city.

It may also be used for small projects and minor works capital projects where appropriate.
Arc-Tech (Scotland) has an extensive contract portfolio in the Edinburgh city region including residential, PBSA, and hotels as well as large-scale commercial office spaces and leisure premises.

The recently opened Lost Shore Surf Resort in Newbridge and Burnet Point, a BREEAM Excellent, low carbon mixed-use development with GRAHAM Building under construction in Morningside, are among the various major contracts that have utilised the firm’s services in recent months.

John Gallacher, Arc-Tech managing director, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed to the University of Edinburgh’s new framework. Arc-Tech has been (and continues to be) involved in some of the city’s most prestigious developments so to now have the opportunity to work with the University – one of the most revered in the world – is another proud achievement for us and we look forward to working with them over the coming years.”
