Arc-Tech completes latest early years contract in Greenock
The latest works by building services contractor Arc-Tech (Scotland) from within the education sector are now complete with the Larkfield Early Years Centre in Greenock.
The brand new, £3 million nursery has been supported by the firm’s expertise in mechanical and electrical service installation and is the fifth project to have been completed on behalf of hub West Scotland for its partner Inverclyde Council in as many years.
Up to 100 young children between the ages of 2-5 years old will receive high-quality education as a result of a modern and comfortable learning environment, a theme prevalent across the local authority as a result of the councils £260m investment programme to increase access and the quality of early learning education.
Mechanical ventilation, domestic water services and above ground drainage, as well as lighting, small power, fire detection, security and data systems, are amongst the broad range of services that have been installed as part of a turnkey, M&E design.
John Gallacher, Arc-Tech managing director, said: “Larkfield Early Years is Arc-Tech’s fifth contract to have been delivered on behalf of hub West Scotland for Inverclyde Council and the second to have been completed this year following on from our successful completion at the Rainbow Family Centre extension in Port Glasgow.
“Our contract team performed very well throughout the course of the programme and I commend their efforts and diligence over the last year.
“We deeply value education as a business; the importance of providing a positive learning environment for young children cannot be understated so we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved with our clients across the breadth of the country over the last five years and thank Inverclyde Council and hub West Scotland fort their continued support.”
Arc-Tech is currently on-site with Maxi Construction at Balerno High School as well as two projects in Blackburn and Livingston with BAM Construct UK.
