Building services provider Arc-Tech (Scotland) had been on-site since the summer of 2019, working to support main contractor BAM Construction in partnership with hub West Scotland for NHSGCC, with the creation of new health wards dedicated to adult in-patient care and functional health issues for one of Glasgow’s busiest hospitals.

Arc-Tech has provided a full turnkey mechanical and electrical service package for the build, utilising digital engineering practices to enable the installation of plumbing, heating and ventilation as well as lighting, fire, security, data and power systems.

An innovative prefabricated solution to create corridor and plantroom service modules was also implemented by Arc-Tech on this project.

As a direct result of the contract, BAM Construction donated two Portakabins to the Springburn Park Men’s Shed, a charity that supports and resources for men of all ages suffering from depression and loneliness. In offering additional support, Arc-Tech installed electrical services to help provide power.

John added: “It is important to give back to community-based organisations. The Springburn Park Men’s Shed is a fantastic initiative and we were more than happy to provide our support.”
