Arc-Tech (Scotland) confirms apprentice intake for 2022
Building services contractor Arc-Tech (Scotland) is to recruit six new trade apprenticeships this August.
Through its work with some of the industry’s largest construction companies, the Glasgow-based firm now generates an annual turnover in excess of £20 million and employs over 100 skilled tradesmen and technical staff.
The company has a sustained commitment to youth training, development, and skills replenishment with 23 trade apprentices and 2 adult trainees currently in employment.
Arc-Tech’s latest recruits will embark upon a four-year, industry-recognised programme in heating engineering, electrical, and plumbing trades with a part-theory, part–applied learning process adopted in partnership with leading colleges and undertaken alongside Arc-Tech’s expert site teams.
John Gallacher, Arc-Tech (Scotland) managing director, said: “Arc-Tech (Scotland) take great pride in being able to announce our trade apprentice intake for 2022. Since our establishment, we have remained committed to youth employment and training because, in an industry where skilled labour is at a premium, the added value that apprenticeships can bring to the longer-term future of our business is recognised.
“To continue our intake for another year is a great achievement but there is much more to Arc-Tech as our apprentices and indeed all of our employees are also afforded with a culture of continuous development. In 2021, our very first trade apprentices from 2017 graduated from their 4-year programme and all three joined us as full-time members of staff. We also offer additional training and advanced learning to support our more experienced team members which we see as an equally important function to professional advancement.
“I look forward to welcoming our new recruits in August and extend my best wishes to all apprentices taking their first steps in their careers this year.”
