Architect completes senior staff restructure at Shettleston
The appointment of a new director of property services at Shettleston Housing Association (SHA) marks the conclusion of a senior staff restructure which has been taking place at the Association since the start of the year.
On November 12, Colette McKenna becomes part of SHA’s new executive management team, joining CEO Tony Teasdale, director of customer and community services, Anne McAlpine, and director of finance and corporate services, Fiona Nicholl.
An architect by profession, Colette is currently the development and regeneration manager at the City of Council Edinburgh where she has led the council’s new build housing programme.
Colette previously held the position of technical services manager, at Wishaw and District Housing Association for over 10 years. This followed a number of years in private practice as an architect. She therefore brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience of property maintenance, new housing development and area regeneration.
Speaking about Colette’s appointment, Tony Teasdale said: “We are delighted that Colette is joining us to provide leadership to our new property services team and to develop and deliver our strategic asset management strategy - all aimed at making Shettleston a great place to live.
“These are exciting times for the Association as we continue to invest in our existing homes whilst taking forward plans for high quality new homes. As part of our executive team, Colette will also play a key role in helping to support decision-making by our volunteer management committee, which has recently been strengthened following a successful recruitment campaign.”
