The proposal is for a new build modern leisure facility, constructed in an existing park. The facility will be the first building of its kind in Scotland built using approximately 90% of recycled, reclaimed or low carbon construction materials.

Unveiling the video on LinkedIn, Mr Reeve said: “Our draft low carbon report has just been submitted and has been a real pleasure to do some proper Architectural R&D to ensure the building can be constructed using 90% recycled/low carbon materials working with a great team of consultants Millard Consulting, KDQ LTD, David Jack, Glulam Solutions Ltd, Zero Waste Scotland and Construction Scotland Innovation Centre.

“Can’t wait to see this progress towards completion but hopefully this video will give people a little sneak peek into the building and spaces.”

Combining leisure, recreation & community activities, the centre will have a large outdoor 3G 11-a-side pitch, a large timber clad indoor hall suitable for range of sports and activities (dance classes etc), café space, reception/office, VR suite, meeting rooms, associated changing rooms and spectator seating for both the outdoor pitch and indoor hall.

The new building will be developed alongside local charity Showcase the Street to provide a much needed additional leisure facility to support the community.
