Avant Homes fills new regional director role in Scotland
Scottish housebuilder Avant Homes has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of Andrew Gawthorpe to the newly created role of regional director for Scotland.
Andrew originally joined Avant Homes as commercial director in the Yorkshire business in 2018 ahead of taking up the position of Scottish regional director following more than 30 years’ experience in the housebuilding and construction industry.
The role will see Andrew work closely with the wider departmental teams across the Scotland operation, to build upon the already successful running of the region, whilst taking a holistic approach to the business, with involvement across everything from land purchasing to the sale of homes.
Commenting on his appointment, Andrew said: “Avant Homes is an incredibly ambitious business with a wonderful culture, and I’m pleased to have had the opportunity to continue my journey through the housebuilding industry in Scotland.
“The Scottish region has great prospects to grow with a potential to deliver even more high-quality homes to both the East and West of Scotland, and as regional director I look forward to honing in on my experience and collaboratively leading the region to thrive further in the outstanding properties they’re delivering.”
Currently, Avant Homes has 59 developments under construction across its five operating regions stretching from Fife to Warwick.
Avant Homes area managing director for Scotland and the North East, Scott Varley, said: “With his wealth of experience in the housebuilding industry, Andrew is more than up to the challenge of leading the wider Scotland team.
“Andrew is a welcome addition to our Scotland operation, and in the newly created role of regional director he will be vital in providing his expertise to the wider team in relation to our ambitious growth objectives while also playing a part in driving Avant to further success.”
