Avison Young makes new director promotion in Scotland
Strategic real estate advisor Avison Young has promoted Kerry Maguire to director in the valuation consultancy team.
Based in Avison Young’s Glasgow office, Kerry is an RICS registered valuer with twenty years of experience in commercial property. She has experience in undertaking valuations for both private and public sector clients for a variety of purposes including asset valuation and secured lending.
Kerry has a particular focus on portfolio valuations for financial statements, with considerable experience in the valuation of specialist properties that are not regularly traded in the market, including hospitals, local and national government facilities, further education colleges and whisky distilleries.
Alison Taylor, managing director of Avison Young, Glasgow, said: “Kerry has a wealth of experience in the commercial property sector and her promotion to Director is extremely well-deserved, particularly against the backdrop of an immensely challenging past year.
“Asset valuation is an important component of the Avison Young offering and Kerry’s knowledge in this area is invaluable for the business in Scotland. As we come out of the pandemic, the companies that Kerry advises require our professional expertise and holistic insight more than ever.
“People are at the centre of everything we do, and it is vital to invest in talent that embodies our purpose of creating real economic, social and environmental value for our clients. I am proud that we now have three women in senior positions at Avison Young in Scotland and it is encouraging to see the steps Avison Young is taking to support diverse talent.”
Kerry Maguire added: “Asset valuation has proven a resilient side of the business in recent months and I’m looking forward to a busy pipeline of activity this year as my strategic role in Avison Young expands. Aside from the day-to-day job, I’m hoping to become more involved in our Women’s Network as well as our mentoring programme to support the next generation of leaders entering a career in commercial property.”
