Balfour Beatty appoints chief information officer and chief procurement officer

Balfour Beatty has unveiled two notable changes to its digital, procurement and supply chain senior leadership team.

The appointments will support Balfour Beatty’s long-term focus on technology and innovation as a strategic imperative for the construction and infrastructure industry and will see the company drive further improvements in safety, productivity, and digitally assured capability.

Jon Ozanne has been promoted to chief information officer with responsibility for coordinating IT and digital initiatives including cyber security and AI adoption. A trained accountant, Jon joined Balfour Beatty in 2015 to lead the transformation of Balfour Beatty’s IT function. Subsequently, he was promoted to the position of UK IT director and in 2019, to the position of chief information officer for the UK.



Evan Sutherland has been promoted to chief procurement officer, having joined Balfour Beatty in 2015 as UK procurement director. In addition to his existing responsibilities leading the UK Procurement and Supply Chain function, Evan will now head up all group-wide procurement and supply chain initiatives, promoting and adopting best practice to drive measurable value across the business.

Both Jon and Evan report directly to Leo Quinn, group chief executive.
