Bancon Homes purchases new site in Aberdeen
Bancon Homes has acquired a new site in Aberdeen to create 63 new homes.
Located off Forrit Brae on the hillside between Newhills and Craibstone, the two, three and four-bedroom high-specification homes will be created as part of the company’s new Kinion Heights Development, which has already received planning consent.
Homes will range in style and design and be a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced homes with parking options.
The development is part of the wider Rowett development and is the next phase of Bancon Homes’ Kinion Place development which previously sold out.
As part of this, the company has also confirmed that it will make a contribution of more than £1.1 million to the local economy as part of its planning obligations. This will help to fund primary and secondary school education in the area as well as the provision of local community, recreation and healthcare facilities, and upgrades to the transport network.
Kevin McColgan, Bancon Group chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have acquired this superb site from Rowett Research Institute and are very much looking forward to starting the build shortly, with the first homes available to move into in the Summer of 2024.”
