Bellway donates to one of Scotland's oldest youth football teams

Musselburgh Windsor Community Football Club’s Under 8 girls’ team have new club training tops thanks to Bellway Homes.

The housebuilder donated £450 to enable the purchase of the new kit.

One of the oldest and largest youth football clubs in Scotland, the Under 8s team trains twice a week at their Pinkie home ground and is the youngest team in the club.



John Hood, operations manager at the club, said: “I would like to thank Bellway Homes for their fantastic gesture in providing financial support to our youngest girls group, it really makes a difference.

“The girls are very committed to their football and wear the club kit with pride. Having the backing of Bellway supports the Club and ensures we can continue to provide the best experience as the girls start their football journey.”

Sheryl Jackson, sales manager at Bellway Homes Ltd (Scotland East), and Iain Malone, site manager at Bellway’s Elphinstone Gardens development, presented the club with the cheque.

Sheryl said: “The club is very inclusive and there’s great camaraderie amongst the girls. It’s terrific to see so many of them enjoying football and hopefully they will continue to develop their skills and go on to compete.”
