Bellway site managers celebrate NHBC award wins

Two of Bellway’s most celebrated site managers have received NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.

George Carty, who works for the company’s west division, received the accolade for the company’s Ridgewood development in Stirling.

Peter Lawrie, who works for the east division, was presented with the award for Earl’s Way in Glenrothes.



The duo are no strangers to the quality awards which recognises excellence in on-site management.

George, from Cumbernauld, has previously scooped nine Pride in the Job Awards and two Seal of Excellence Awards.

Last year Peter, from Dunfermline, represented Scotland as a finalist in the NHBC UK Supreme Awards. The Pride in the Job Award is the first stage in the regional competition which culminates in the UK event. In October he also won Bellway’s national UK Health and Safety Awards.

Andy Wyles, Northern Regional Chairman, Bellway Homes Ltd said: “Peter and George are terrific models not just for our business but for the industry at large. They lead their teams by example and place customers at the heart of everything that they do.

George and Peter will now go forward to the NHBC Regional Finals which will take place in October this year.

Recognised as the most prestigious accolade in the industry, the NHBC’s Pride in the Job initiative has been running for over 44 years, highlighting exceptional talent and raising standards within the industry.
