BESA sets up NHS key services survey
The Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) is conducting a survey to identify firms across the sector capable of providing vital service and maintenance for the NHS at short notice.
The survey will run until the end of this week and will then be collated and provided as a list of available companies to the NHS.
“Our sector is carrying out essential work that will keep hospitals, care facilities, supermarkets and schools operating during the current lockdown period. If you want these essential services, you need building engineering services to operate,” said BESA chief executive David Frise.
“The idea is to provide the NHS with rapid and easy access to qualified professionals able to deliver vital repairs and maintenance to keep their facilities working under intense pressure,” said Mr Frise. “In return, it should generate work for our members and other firms across the sector who are currently struggling in this unprecedented crisis.”
BESA said there had already been more than 120 submissions to the survey and numbers were rising quickly.
