Bob Clark joins Laing O’Rourke in new director for Scotland role
International engineering and construction company Laing O’Rourke has appointed Bob Clark to the newly created position of director for Scotland in its construction division.
Further strengthening the Group’s operation in Scotland, Bob Clark will be responsible for all Laing O’Rourke’s construction and specialist businesses in the country. Highly experienced in the industry, having most recently worked for Balfour Beatty, he will be based in the Group’s Eurocentral office in Motherwell.
Bob he was “delighted” to be joining Laing O’Rourke as director for Scotland.
He added: “Scottish market conditions are clearly improving and there are a number of interesting opportunities arising that are ideally suited to Laing O’Rourke’s innovative approach to DfMA, Digital Engineering and integrated delivery capabilities. I’m looking forward to driving this forward.”
His appointment has been welcomed by Laing O’Rourke Europe Hub MD Paul Sheffield, who said: “Bob has fantastic credentials having been responsible for major projects across sectors in his previous role, including North Lanarkshire schools, Fife Hospital and extensions to both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.

Bob Clark began his new position on 30th March 2015.
