Buccleuch Property unveils charity partner for 2021
Edinburgh-based property development and investment company Buccleuch Property has announced Borders Children’s Charity as its fundraising partner for the 2021 Buccleuch Property Challenge.
Run entirely by volunteers, Borders Children’s Charity helps children living in the Scottish Borders by relieving those enduring poverty, sickness and distress.
Taking place on September 10 at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway, the six-hour corporate adventure challenge will see teams of three people from across the property industry compete against each other for the trophy, whilst at the same time raising much needed funds for Borders Children’s Charity. The popular event is well known within the industry for being a test of fitness, stamina and mental capacity with a range of outdoor pursuits including running, mountain biking, orienteering and kayaking.
Now in its 14th year, the Challenge has raised over £140,000 since it was established, helping a variety of charities, such as Projekt 42, Ovarian Cancer Action and children’s charity Seamab School.
David Peck, managing director at Buccleuch Property, said: “We are hugely excited to be back running the Challenge this year after an enforced pause in proceedings and hope the opportunity for everyone to get out onto our mountain bikes and into the fresh air will attract a full complement of teams back to Drumlanrig for 2021 – bring it on!”
Jenny Linehan, chairperson at Borders Children’s Charity, said: “The Borders Children’s Charity is delighted to have been chosen by Buccleuch Property as their fundraising partner. We are looking forward to watching our own team take part, go team BCC!”
