- Livingston Trade Park secures two new tenants
Livingston Trade Park is set to welcome its first two tenants, with the news that City Plumbing and consumer goods company IOC Anabtawi UK are moving to the newly-built facility on Houstoun Road, within the established Houstoun Industrial Estate.

Developed by Chancerygate, the Park was acquired by Northwood Investors earlier this year, as part of a portfolio of 11 estates. The flexible industrial and warehouse units have been finished to a shell specification, which enables occupiers to undertake their own fit out to suit their specific occupational needs.
Featuring a total of eight units, City Plumbing will occupy Unit 27 (5,103 sq ft), with IOC Anabtawi moving into Unit 25 (3,638 sq ft). The remaining six units range from 3,582 to 10,282 sq ft, with a quoting rent of £9 sq ft.
The project has been designed to achieve a reduction of an 18.8% in CO2 emissions over 2013 Buildings Regulations, which will help reduce tenants’ occupation costs.

- Angus Council unveils Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan
Angus Council has unveiled its Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) to support the region in its commitment to sustainable development, environmental management, and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Recognising the scale and urgency of the climate emergency, the council was supported by smart cities consultants Urban Foresight to create the plan.
The SECP provides a roadmap, highlighting key opportunity areas where Angus can reduce Green House Gas emissions, create potential adaptation actions in response to climate change and measures to provide sustainable, affordable, and secure access to energy.
Following consultation with key stakeholders within Angus Council, community groups, businesses and third sector organisations, a series of deliverable actions have been set throughout the six key sectors including Buildings, Energy, Transport, Land Use & Forestry, Agriculture & Food, and Waste in addition to Governance and Process actions.
A full review of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan actions will take place every two years to monitor progress, reflecting on technological innovations, changing market conditions and the latest environmental best practice to ensure national targets are met.
