Cairn completes new energy-efficient homes in Pumpherston

Cairn Housing Association has completed a new housing development in Pumpherston, West Lothian.

The development consists of 20 high-quality properties designed to provide comfortable and energy-efficient homes. It features a mix of cottage flats and houses, specifically crafted to accommodate three and four-person households.

Built by the renowned construction firm Dundas, with Brownriggs acting as the employer’s agent and Ross Quality Control as the clerk of works, this project exemplifies the commitment to excellence and sustainability that Cairn stands for.

Each property is equipped with state-of-the-art air source heat pumps, ensuring efficient and environmentally friendly heating solutions. Additionally, a comprehensive fire suppression system has been installed in every unit to enhance safety and provide peace of mind to residents. The focus on energy efficiency throughout the development will not only reduce environmental impact but also offer long-term savings on energy bills for our tenants.

Audrey Simpson, CEO of Cairn Housing Group, expressed her excitement about the new development, stating: “We are thrilled to unveil these new homes in Pumpherston, which represent a significant step forward in our mission to provide safe, comfortable, and sustainable housing. The inclusion of advanced energy-efficient technologies and safety features underscores our commitment to improving the quality of life for our residents while also being mindful of our environmental responsibilities. We are grateful to our partners at Dundas, Brownriggs, and Ross Quality Control for their dedication and hard work in bringing this project to fruition.”

This development is part of Cairn’s ongoing efforts to expand its portfolio of high-quality, affordable housing, ensuring more individuals and families have access to homes that meet their needs.
