Cala breaks ground at new Barrhead development
Cala Homes (West) has marked a significant milestone in the progress of its latest East Renfrewshire development, Aurs Meadows.
The homebuilder has officially broken ground on its upcoming development located on Balgraystone Road in Barrhead with the first homes set to be released off-plan in spring.
Aurs Meadows will offer a collection of 221 homes, including a mix of two- and three-bedroom terraced homes, three- and four-bedroom townhouses, three-bedroom semi-detached properties, and four- and five-bedroom detached homes. Homes will range in size from 790 sq ft to 2,384 sq ft. ensuring there is a home to suit all types of prospective buyers.
The new development forms part of East Renfrewshire Council’s ‘Barrhead South Strategic Development Opportunity’ in its local development plan. The site will also include a new neighbourhood centre and Network Rail will be building a new train station, adjoining the site, providing greater transport links for local residents.
The new homes are located just 15 minutes away from Cala’s current East Renfrewshire development, The Lawers at Balgray Gardens development in Maidenhill, Newton Mearns which has proven incredibly popular since work started in 2018.
Each home at Aurs Meadows will feature the high-quality specification Cala is renowned for, along with air source heat pump technology, offering sustainable heating solutions to homeowners. The development will also include EV charging provisions. As well as this, there will also be ample green space for residents along with dedicated play areas for families to enjoy.
