The workshop was delivered in partnership with demolition experts Dem-Master and included important information around staying safe around the construction site as well as demolition techniques and protective equipment.
Construction work started in October with demolition equipment appearing on-site and CALA was keen to speak to children at the school, which sits adjacent to the site.
Around £100 million is being invested by CALA in constructing Jordanhill Park.
David Sutherland, Jordanhill Park project director, said: “Now that work has commenced on Jordanhill Park, we felt it was really important to spend some time with the children at Jordanhill School to show them how to look after themselves near the construction site.
“The children showed a real interest in what we had to say so hopefully the information will keep them safe as we continue our work between now and 2023.”
Richard Buchan, Jordanhill School head teacher of primary, said: “We were delighted to accept CALA Homes’ kind invitation to speak to our pupils about the building works near their school.
“This was a great learning opportunity for the children and I would like to thank CALA Homes and Dem-Master for taking the time to visit us.”
