CALA extends deadline for Scottish causes applying for share of £55,000 Community Bursary
Local charities, schools, community projects and good causes across Scotland have been given more time to apply for a share of CALA Homes’ £55,000 Community Bursary.
The initiative, which launched in Aberdeen in 2016 and the rest of the country in 2017, aims to provide support for a wide range of organisations and projects in the areas in which CALA operates.
The deadline for applications has now been extended to March 22 and CALA is urging Scottish organisations to apply for a share of the Community Bursary by downloading an application form from the CALA Homes website.
More than 60 charities across Scotland so far have benefitted from CALA’s Community Bursary with donations made for projects ranging from Give a Dog a Bone in Glasgow to Home-Start in Aberdeen and Dunbar Life Saving Club in East Lothian.
Jim McIntyre, managing director at CALA Homes (West), said: “We have already received some fantastic applications for a share of the Community Bursary, and we want to make sure as many groups as possible have the opportunity apply, which is why we have extended our deadline by a further two weeks.
“CALA Homes has always been committed to making a positive and lasting contribution to the Scottish communities in which it builds, and we’re looking forward to finding out about even more of the great work being done, and what support is needed locally.”
