The housebuilder is opening drop off points at four of its developments across the West of Scotland.

Residents and visitors can hand in toys to any of these drop off points between now and Friday 13 December, as part of the charity’s annual Christmas Present Appeal.

Drop off points will be located in the sales offices at Fin Glen in Milton of Campsie, Kilmardinny Manor in Bearsden, Kinnaird Wynd and Kinnaird Lee in Larbert, and Lethame Green in Strathaven. All toys collected will go to the Glasgow City Centre Corps Salvation Army.

CALA will also be topping up the donated items with an additional £250 worth of toys.

Since the inception of its Christmas Present Appeal, The Salvation Army has donated millions of toys and gifts to children and young people, and each year, the demand for Christmas presents increases.

Lieutenant Loretta Garman, Salvation Army, said: “It’s fantastic to have an organisation like CALA supporting our appeal this year. The more drop off points there are, the easier it is for people across the West of Scotland to donate.

“As the Christmas Present Appeal focuses on the local community, we guarantee that all donations provided will directly benefit those in need in our community.

“If you’re interested in donating, we just ask that when you’re out doing your own Christmas shopping, if you’re able to, pick up an extra one or two toys that could be donated. It really does make a huge difference to the lives of children from families who may be struggling financially, or who otherwise wouldn’t receive any Christmas presents this year.”

The Salvation Army has advised gifts suitable for children aged 0 all the way up to 16 will be greatly appreciated.

New toys can be dropped off at the sales suites from now until Friday 13 December. All sites are open from 11am – 5.30pm seven days a week
