The initiative, which launched in Aberdeen in 2016 and the rest of the country in 2017, aims to provide support for a wide range of organisations and projects within the communities in which CALA builds.

Since its launch, over 200 good causes across the country have received a share of more than £200,000.

Jim McIntyre, managing director at CALA Homes in the West of Scotland, said: “We’re thrilled to be continuing to support our Community Bursary initiative to worthwhile causes across Scotland, and are looking forward to hearing from even more local charities, schools, community projects and good causes throughout Scotland and finding about the great work being done.

“CALA has always been committed to making a positive and lasting contribution to local communities through an active programme of local charity donations, community support and sponsorship, and the Community Bursary scheme gives us the chance to find out exactly what support is needed locally.

“More than 60 charities across Scotland have previously benefitted from the CALA Community Bursary scheme with donations made for projects ranging from Give a Dog a Bone in Glasgow to Home-Start in Aberdeen and Dunbar Life Saving Club in East Lothian. The Bursary provides an opportunity for charities and groups of all sizes to apply for funds, and we look forward to hearing more about how we can get involved.”

To apply for a share of the community bursary download an application form from the CALA website. Application forms are also available to pick up from any of CALA Homes’ developments across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, East Dunbartonshire, Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Lothian, Midlothian and Edinburgh.

The closing deadline for entries is March 8.
