CALA leads subcontractor seminar in Aberdeen
Housebuilder CALA Homes (North) hosted its bi-annual subcontractor seminar at the Village Hotel in Kingswells.
The event – which was attended by more than 60 subcontractors from across the North – included presentations from a number of CALA staff members as well as Trevor Mutch from R Davidson Banchory and Jeff Burns from Fifth Dimension.
Trevor spoke to guests about his experience of being a subcontractor for CALA while Jeff delivered a session on behavioural health and safety. Other topics included the importance of the National House Building Council (NHBC) to the industry, and CALA’s future plans which was presented by managing director Mike Naysmith.
Guests were also invited to breakout into small groups to chat about construction, health and safety and customer service in finer detail.
Steve Jarvie, construction director for CALA Homes (North), said: “The purpose of our bi-annual event is to engage with our subcontractors while delivering topical industry information and updates regarding CALA’s key objectives in a relaxed atmosphere.
“We have fantastic relationships with all our subcontractors and our seminar is a good way to keep in touch.

CALA Homes (North) recently sold out three of its developments, Rosefield Gardens in Cults, The Links at Dubford in Bridge of Don and Parklands at May Baird Avenue.
The housebuilder unveiled The Paddocks at Cults Park, a collection of three, four and five bedroom homes in the much sought-after suburb of Cults and is also creating a new 550-home community at its landmark Oldfold Village development.
