Cala provides festive collection point to help drive Renfrewshire foodbank donations
Cala Homes (West) has partnered with the Renfrewshire Foodbank to provide an extra drop-off point for Christmas donations.
Cala’s Erskine development, Gilchrist Gardens, located on Florish Road, opened up its doors of its sales suite and showhomes to allow the community to donate invaluable essentials ahead of Christmas.
Sales staff, site teams and contractors, as well as residents at the development, also donated to the good cause before all donations were delivered to the Renfrewshire Foodbank on Monday 19th December.
The Renfrewshire Foodbank, which is part of The Trussell Trust, received boxes of essential items including non-perishable foods, toiletries and Christmas treats such as selection boxes.
Liana Canavan, sales and marketing director of Cala Homes (West), said: “Christmas is a time for giving back so we are proud that we were able to support an invaluable local organisation who ensures those in need get the help and support they need.
“We partnered up with the Renfrewshire Foodbank to provide an additional collection point for donations so it was more accessible for those looking to play their part and to help make a difference to the people the charity supports.
“The work they do all year round is inspiring and we are delighted to play a small part in helping make Christmas special for those in need. I would like to say a massive thank you to our contractors, our residents, Cala staff and the local community who have all donated generously.”
