Based in the firm’s head office in Glasgow, new recruit Calum will be responsible for Urban Union’s construction delivery. Bringing almost 30 years of experience in the construction industry, he most recently worked on developments across Scotland for Ogilvie.

Calum, who was a project manager on the £3 million extension of the National Museum of Scotland’s Collection Centre, brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in construction, site management, health and safety, design coordination and commercial oversight.

Urban Union said the appointment will allow the firm to further strengthen its offering to customers across Scotland.

Neil McKay, managing director, Urban Union, said: “We are delighted to start this New Year by welcoming Calum Bruce to the Urban Union team. As a business with big ambitions for delivery and growth, Calum will play a key role in Urban Union’s journey going forward.

“Calum will be involved with several new projects which the business is currently working on and we look forward to delivering them with his support.”

Calum Bruce added: “Urban Union has been on my radar for the past couple of years – following the company’s impressive work at Pennywell, Laurieston and Muirton Living.

“I am very pleased to be joining such an ambitious company that delivers homes in areas where they are most needed, a firm which is committed to supporting local communities and enhancing the lives of those who live there. I’m looking forward to my new challenge and getting stuck into my new role.”

Urban Union currently has four developments underway in Scotland:  Laurieston Living and Pollokshaws Living in Glasgow, Pennywell Living in Edinburgh and Muirton Living in Perth.
