Calum McCafferty joins McKenzie Strickland Associates as senior architect

Architectural firm McKenzie Strickland Associates (MSA) has appointed architect and designer Calum McCafferty as senior architect.

Edinburgh native Calum McCafferty holds more than 10 years of diverse experience in design and project management, with an extensive portfolio spanning the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Calum brings with him expertise gained from contributing to the delivery of several award-winning architectural projects across Scotland including the Clyde Bridge in Renfrewshire, Avonbridge United Reformed Church in Glasgow. Further afield, he worked on The Al Mouj Community Hub in Muscat, Oman.



In previous roles, Calum has led the conceptualisation, design, and delivery of commercial, office, cultural, education, hospitality, and industrial projects, alongside creating high-end homes and large-scale residential developments such as Stalla House in Oban. His expertise also extends to the delicate restoration of properties including that of a UNESCO heritage site. 

Calum will be working alongside his colleagues at MSA to design bespoke residential homes and large-scale commercial and heritage projects, including the renowned Taymouth Castle restoration project.
