CHAP Group’s golf tournament raises £10,000 for Charlie House
The annual CHAP Charity Golf Day witnessed an extraordinary display of generosity, camaraderie and golfing prowess at Newmachar Golf Club.
This was more than just a day on the greens; it was a commitment to making a real difference in the lives of children and their families living with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions. The inaugural event teed off with the primary aim of supporting Charlie House as they continue to do amazing work with children and young people in the North East.
Charlie House has been a beacon of hope for countless families in the north east facing the challenges of caring for children with complex disabilities. Their holistic approach provides not only practical support, but also creates an environment where children can experience the joys of being children. Their services include support at their facility, home visits and the opportunity to enjoy days out, ensuring children and their families have the best quality of life possible.
The tournament surpassed all expectations, raising a staggering £10,000 for the charity. The funds raised will enable Charlie House to expand its essential services, making an even greater impact on the lives of those it supports.
CHAP Group extended its sincere thanks to all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers who made the event a resounding success. It also thanked the local businesses who generously donated raffle prizes.
Special thanks were extended to Fowler Mackenzie, whose generosity ensured that the tournament met its fundraising goal of £10,000.
Andy McNair, CHAP Group’s pre-construction director, said: “The success of this event demonstrates the North East‘s generous nature. We are delighted to support Charlie House and contribute to this important work in our local community. We know the money raised will be used to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families who need it most.
“CHAP Group are grateful for the support and generosity of everyone involved, and plans are already in place to make next year’s event just as much of a success!”
