City Building (Glasgow) LLP has donated nearly £60,000 to charities over the past year, supporting 52 communities – a significant rise on the previous year.

The construction services firm’s fundraising total was up by 55% on the previous year, while the number of communities supported was up 62%. Employee-led fundraising surged by 85% to £24,000 of the total.

The company has expanded its impact through community apprenticeship projects, supporting initiatives such as refurbishing facilities at FARE Scotland Stepford Football Academy and the Springburn Shed Centre.

Through its partnerships, City Building has worked with suppliers to provide essential items, including £10,000 worth of white goods to vulnerable citizens across Glasgow.

City Building’s work extends beyond financial contributions, with employees actively participating in fundraising challenges, including the Kiltwalk and the Race for Life. The company has also supported numerous charities such as Alzheimer’s Scotland, Breast Cancer Now, and Cash for Kids.

The company’s achievements are set out in its latest annual report into charitable deeds, which has just been published.

Sharon Wearing, executive director of City Building (Glasgow) LLP, said: “Our commitment to community engagement and social impact continues to grow year on year.

“With the support of both our members – Glasgow City Council and Wheatley Housing Group – alongside the generosity of our employees and supply chain partners, we have been able to support even more people and projects across Glasgow.

“We are immensely proud of our achievements and remain dedicated to creating a lasting, positive impact.”
