Clark Contracts awarded Silver Medal in EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment
Clark Contracts has been awarded a fourth consecutive Silver Medal from business sustainability assessments leader EcoVadis.
In this latest assessment, Clark Contracts was rated within the top 15% of rated companies globally, with over 130,000 currently rated by EcoVadis.
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidenced-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
Gordon Cunningham, managing director at Clark Contracts, said: “As a business, we are committed to continually improving our sustainability performance, and reducing our carbon footprint.
“We have taken numerous measures to reduce this, including an Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme, energy improvements in our offices, and carbon reduction initiatives on sites, including the use of solar powered and hybrid cabins and generators. As we move towards becoming Net Zero, this award re-enforces our commitments and recognises our performance and dedication to carbon reduction.”
