Clark Contracts begins executive refurb at Glasgow Caledonian University
Clark Contracts has commenced refurbishment and transformation works to the Centre for Executive Education for repeat customer Glasgow Caledonian University.
The project involves the refurbishment of the ground floor of the building, transforming what were under-utilised spaces on campus (including an old café area and a former bank area) to create three new computer laboratories, two new classrooms; each of 48-seater capacity, a new 32-seater capacity classroom as well as new breakout/social spaces with vending facilities.
The works once complete will greatly enhance student, staff and visitor experience with first-class Learning & Teaching facilities.
The transformation will not only create much-needed computer laboratories and classrooms on campus but is also expected to revitalise the entire Centre for Executive Education ground floor area and lead to increased and enhanced usage of the adjoining spaces such as the adjacent Memorial garden and main atrium lobby.
Gerry Cummins, director at Clark Contracts, said: “We are thrilled to be delivering another project within the Glasgow Caledonian University campus following the success of our recent project within the Annie Lennox Building.
“The delivery team, including myself, the contracts manager and quantity surveyor are all proud Glasgow Caledonian University alumni, and are delighted to be working in partnership with them to upgrade this building which will improve the overall student experience.”
