Clark Contracts staff donate time to good cause
Clark Contracts employees donated their time to support Fife Employment Access Trust in planting over 400 trees and completing other small jobs at Silverburn Park in Leven.
The contractor is currently on site delivering the major refurbishment of the Category B listed former Flax Mill within the park, to create a café/restaurant, backpackers’ hostel, artist studios, a retail shop and flexible space – as well as dedicated community-use space.
Employees previously assisted the charity with painting and planting flowers in March this year.
Since 2017, Clark Contracts has offered all employees the opportunity to spend one paid working day per year volunteering for a charity of their choice. This initiative means that almost 2,000 hours per year, can be spent supporting charities across Scotland.
In recent months, employees from across the company have used this scheme to support a number of charities including ACCORD Hospice, Refuweegee, Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, Fresh Start Scotland and Alzheimer Scotland.
