Clark Contracts to deliver new Lidl supermarket in Dundee
A new Lidl supermarket at the New Craigie Retail Park in Dundee will be completed by Clark Contracts.
The new 2,205m² Dundee supermarket off Kingsway East will be the 11th Lidl supermarket delivered by Clark Contracts and is expected to create around 40 new jobs for the area when opened.
When complete, the store will feature an-in store bakery, customer toilet and parking for both cars and bikes.
Michael Scanlan, director of Clark Contracts, said: “We are very much looking forward to progressing on site to deliver our 11th Lidl store.”
Gordon Rafferty, Lidl GB’s regional gead of property, said: “There’s been much anticipation for this new Lidl store and it’s great that we are now in a position to start the build. We are extremely grateful for all the support that we have received so far, and would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding whilst we enter this next phase of the development.”
The project will be registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and will be audited by a CCS Scheme monitor throughout the project.
Clark Contracts is currently on site delivering the construction of new Lidl supermarkets in Bathgate and Dumbarton and has previously completed stores in Livingston, Greenock, Arbroath, Craigmillar, Edinburgh Easter Road, Edinburgh Slateford, Bucksburn and Ayr.
