Clark Contracts welcomes 21 new trainees to academy
Clark Contracts has welcomed 21 new trainees to its award-winning academy in a range of site and office-based roles throughout 2024.
Having formed its Academy in 2006, the contractor is dedicated to training and development, having supported over 350 trainees and apprentices into the industry over this period.
These new recruits, which include trade apprentices, office-based apprentices, trainee quantity surveyors and trainee site managers, join 30 existing members of the Academy, each at different stages of their development.
They will each be supported by a dedicated mentor and are completing their studies through various Modern Apprenticeship, Graduate Apprenticeship, HNC and Honours Degree pathways.
Their training will involve a combination of on-the-job training, whilst completing formal qualifications, through attendance at colleges and universities including Heriot-Watt, Edinburgh Napier and Glasgow Caledonian universitys, City of Glasgow College and West College Scotland.
Clark Contracts launched its trainee recruitment with annual Careers Evenings, held in Paisley and Edinburgh in March, which many of these new employees attended.
Gordon Cunningham, managing director at Clark Contracts, said: “We are delighted to welcome another 21 employees into our academy this year, which re-enforces our commitment to supporting the next generation into the industry. Since launching our Academy, many of the apprentices and trainees we have supported, have now progressed into senior positions within the business. We look forward to seeing these new team members progress and develop their careers.”
