CMS Window Systems celebrates hat-trick of award nominations
CMS Window Systems has been shortlisted as a finalist in three prestigious window and door industry awards.
The designer, manufacturer and installer of PVCu and aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling has been named as a finalist in Sustainability Initiative of the Year category of the G19 Awards and for the Recycling Company accolade in the 2019 National Fenestration Awards.
In addition, CMS contracts manager John Deacon, who works with customers to deliver window and door programmes across Scotland, is named a finalist in the Unsung Hero category.
With its ‘closed loop’ windows and doors service to customers, CMS continues to be at the forefront of providing sustainable windows and doors. The company now operates three factories in Scotland, all of which have in-house recycling facilities to ensure all post-consumer windows and doors, as well as production waste, can be recycled. For the last two years, CMS has diverted 100% of waste away from landfill.
David Ritchie, CEO of CMS Window Systems, said: “We’re thrilled to be in the finals for these three prestigious awards. We continue to push the boundaries on sustainability with our in-house recycling centres now delivering outstanding results.
“And our pioneering new initiatives around biodiversity and reducing fossil fuel use are also enabling us to set ambitious carbon reduction goals which further shrink our carbon footprint.
“It is also fantastic to see John Deacon named as a finalist for an individual award. John has worked so hard to support the communities in which CMS operates, particularly through building links with charities who support disadvantaged people. We wish John and all the people and businesses shortlisted the very best of luck on the awards evening.”
