CMS Window Systems reaches Scottish Business Awards finals
The environmental credentials CMS Window Systems have once again been recognised with the company named a finalist in the 2016 Scottish Business Awards.
The window, door and curtain walling designer, manufacturer and installer is a finalist to win the ‘People’s Postcode Lottery Green Business of the Year’ award, a shortlisting that comes hot on the heels of the company winning in the Scottish Resources Awards last week and being named a finalist in the European Business Awards for the Environment.
The winner will be announced at a prestigious event taking place in Edinburgh in November at which Leonardo Di Caprio will deliver a keynote speech.
The Scottish Business Awards are held annually and supported by the Royal Bank of Scotland. They aim to recognise excellence in Scottish business and celebrate those who are building, and leading, successful, growing and dynamic businesses in Scotland. Winners are drawn from all business sectors with 2015 winners including Skyscanner and Cala Homes.
With its commitment to sustainability at the core of its business strategy, CMS hopes to impress the judging panel with its wide-ranging and unique recycling processes and state-of-the-art learning and showcase facility; the CMS Innovation Hub, plus its zero carbon window option that is capable of transforming the energy efficiency of Britain’s homes.
The company recycles thousands of tonnes of waste annually and reintroduces as much recovered PVC, aluminium and glass as possible directly back into the manufacturing process at levels which no other UK window and door business of its kind can do.
Andy Kerr, managing director of CMS Window Systems, said: “It’s fantastic to be named a finalist in the Scottish Business Awards. The calibre of nominations is first rate and so to get to this stage is a tremendous achievement, reflecting our sustained effort from day one to ensure sustainability is fundamental to every part of our business.”
