Community scores green light for Glasgow sports pavilion
Hillwood Community Trust is to deliver a sports pavilion and community space at the Priesthill Playing Fields in Pollok after receiving planning approval from councillors.

Designed by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands, the facility will include four externally-accessed changing areas each with their own showers and toilet facilities, referee changing, a multi-purpose room and a warm-up kitchen. Twelve parking spaces will be provided.
The facility will be used by Hillwood Football Club, while the multi-purpose room will be available as a community facility when the pitches are not in use.
In a statement submitted with the planning application, the architects noted: “The pavilion will provide the client with a simple and robust facility to enable them to provide a safe and secure base from which they can grow and provide a sporting focus within the community.
“The proposal will represent an efficient and compact design solution suitable for a football club of this scale.”
