The existing dyke stone retaining wall to the south side of Wellington Brae is to be demolished and replaced with a new concrete reinforcement retaining wall faced with random stone masonry reclaimed from the existing wall where possible. Before starting works the Contractor is required to carry out any site investigation necessary to assess the temporary slope stability and design any temporary works required to protect existing structures associated with the railway and properties on Prospect Terrace.
