Details: Edinburgh BioQuarter is currently a partnership between the City of Edinburgh Council, NHS Lothian, Scottish Enterprise and University of Edinburgh; together the Edinburgh BioQuarter Partners. Over the past 2 decades, the 167-acre site, located 3 miles south of Edinburgh City Centre, has been developed extensively with over 500 million GBP of capital for buildings, infrastructure and specialist equipment. Today it is home to the globally renowned Edinburgh Medical School, many of the University of Edinburgh’s world-leading research institutes, 900-bed Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and 13 life science business. It is a melting pot of specialist activities with an onsite community of 8,000 who work and study within its boundary.

The proposal is to undertake an OJEU procurement exercise to select an investment and development partner with the financial means and experience to accelerate delivery of the vision.
