Details: The laundry at HMP Glenochil is served by steam washers, dryers and presses. Steam is generated via 2No. dedicated steam generators and distributed around the laundry via steam and condensate pipework distribution systems. The existing steam generators are approaching the end of their useful economic life and the associated steam and condensate pipework is showing signs of corrosion.

This project provides for the replacement of the existing steam generating plant, pipework and ancillary equipment to extend the life of the laundry and improve the efficiency of the installations.
