Andy Outram, director at Turner & Townsend attended the last industry conference hosted by Construction Scotland and CSIC.
He said: “It was an interesting industry event which raised a lot of key issues. There were some really thought provoking talks about innovation and how this could benefit construction to make it more productive and profitable.
“Following the conference I joined the CSIC Project Advisory Group and I am now the Industry Lead for the Advanced Construction forum. It’s clear to me that CSIC has the opportunity to reshape many aspects of our industry and I’m delighted to be involved.”
Stephen Good, chief executive of Construction Scotland Innovation Centre, said: “Construction Scotland Innovation Centre has made good progress since the last conference and we’re excited to share some highlights and to engage with a large number of people from across the industry, academia and in the public sector.”
Alistair McKinnon, director of construction at Scottish Enterprise, added: “The construction sector is a key platform for our whole economy in Scotland and underpins everything we do, from our roads to homes, office buildings, schools and hospitals to name just a few. Making construction more productive and profitable will mean that we will all enjoy significant economic benefits. If you are in this sector, this is a must attend event.”
Ed Monaghan, chair of Construction Scotland Industry Leadership Group, and chief executive of Mactaggart & Mickel Group, is encouraging as many people as possible from the construction industry to sign up for this free event.
