Construction starts at Taylor Wimpey’s latest development in Bilston
Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has announced that pre-construction and the enabling works for a development of 191 new homes at its Pentland Green development in Bilston will officially start in the next few weeks.
The development, which will deliver a range of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, as well as 25% affordable homes, has been designed to provide a range of options for first time buyers and growing families.
This development will complement the well-established and existing Taylor Wimpey Cameron Gardens development in Bilston, and it represents a continued and significant investment in the local area by the company.
As part of the Section 75 planning agreement with Midlothian Council, Taylor Wimpey East Scotland will make a significant community contribution of £4.3 million towards education and transport.
Pauline Mills, land and planning director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: “We are so pleased to be starting the construction of Pentland Green development in Bilston. The development will not only provide residents from around the local area with a wide selection of homes, but it offers great commutable routes to Edinburgh and the wider Midlothian area. As one of the largest housebuilders in the UK, we are committed to building more than homes and making sure that we add social, economic and environmental value to the wider communities that we operate in.”
