Consultation on proposed active travel link on A96 at Dyce
An online consultation has started for a proposed project which would deliver improvements for walking, wheeling, and cycling infrastructure along the A96 from Airport Road to Dyce Drive linking with existing infrastructure.
The proposed route will link Craibstone Park & Ride, the TECA complex, and the existing A96 cycle infrastructure.
The proposed design would provide a shared cycle/wheeling/walking track and would include a junction crossing at Walton Road following the development currently being completed. It would also include an upgrade to toucan crossings and access improvements, and a bus stop accessibility improvement.
The key aim of this work is to provide a consistent and coherent active travel network to support east-west movements in this area.
This in turn will provide opportunities to link with the developments taking place on both sides of the A96 extending existing cycling infrastructure already in place along the corridor.
The consultation is available on Aberdeen City Council’s website.
