Coffeepots Limited, which officially opens the doors to a new Costa Coffee café in Cumbernauld’s town centre on 1st February, used the funding to purchase the site on Central Way to enable it to build the premises.

The funding package was also used to finance the build and to buy furnishings and the latest coffee machines for the interior of the new 60-seat location.

Business partners Pat Dunese and Colin Wilson, who each own 50% of Coffeepots, are now eyeing further expansion and have plans underway to open a second drive-through Costa Coffee in Kirkintilloch in May 2022.

Coffeepots operates 15 Costa Coffees in Scotland and recently won the Costa UK Franchisees of the Year Award 2021 for the great customer service that their stores deliver.

The market for drive-thru premises is strong as these outlets have provided a safe way for customers to enjoy coffee during lockdowns and they respond to the public’s growing desire for on-the-go beverages. We’re excited to bring our award-winning service to Cumbernauld and other locations around Scotland as we work to grow the business.”
