CR Smith has been appointed by Wellhouse Housing Association to begin a major window and door replacement programme, following a competitive tender and a successful pilot project.
Bill Black, maintenance manager for Wellhouse Housing Association, said: “We are committed to providing good quality homes for our tenants, and this investment in new windows and doors is a fantastic step forward. The energy efficiency and durability of the CR Smith product will help make our properties warmer and more comfortable, while the classic design ensures they complement the character of our housing portfolio.”
CR Smith, which has been steadily building its work with housing associations, will oversee the full installation process, coordinating directly with tenants to schedule surveys and fit. The work is expected to be completed within six weeks, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
Colin Eadie, managing director of CR Smith Manufacturing, which is the commercial division of the business, added: “We are delighted to be working with Wellhouse Housing Association on this important project. Our windows and doors are designed to provide long-lasting quality and efficiency, and we look forward to delivering improvements that will enhance the homes and lives of tenants.”
CR Smith has been designing, manufacturing and installing windows in Scotland for over five decades. In recent years, it has increasingly expanded its domestic operation into commercial projects for Scottish housing associations and local authorities, where quality and reliability are priorities.
