In support of the local communities that they are building in, as many as 70 Cruden employees from across 22 different developments in the West of Scotland gathered together to collect and make donations to food banks in the areas surrounding Cruden’s sites.

Cruden staff collected around 10,000 food items and raised over £5,000 worth of collections through their heartwarming efforts, amounting to as much as three tonnes of food donations and with the help of the food bank charity, Trussell Trust, they organised the distribution to food banks in and around Glasgow. The donation to the Trussell Trust (Scotland) will provide 1,000 additional food parcels to those who depend on it this Christmas.

Allan Callaghan, managing director of Cruden Building, said: “After the tremendous success of our partnership with the Trussell Trust last year, we are delighted to be teaming up on this food bank initiative once again to provide much needed support to local people in difficulty in the West of Scotland. Cruden has always had a strong corporate and social responsibility focus, our excellent team of staff are a shining example of that, and I am confident that the donations we received from staff, clients and supply chain partners will help to deliver Christmas cheer to families at this important time of year.”
