The homebuilder has generously donated £1000 to the school to support the purchase of outdoor play equipment and a sandpit to provide students with a fun outdoor space.

The donation was inspired by primary one pupils who wrote to the local Stewart Milne Homes sales office, based in the new Dargavel Village development, asking for support to renovate the school garden.

Impressed by the pupil’s proactiveness and touched by their handwritten letter, Stewart Milne Homes was more than happy to support the school. The cheque was presented by sales representatives from Stewart Milne Homes Dargavel Village, at a school assembly on Friday 24 November.

Mr. Carlton, head teacher at Dargavel Primary School, expressed his gratitude for the donation. He said: “We are thrilled to receive this generous donation from Stewart Milne Homes. The new equipment will be a fantastic addition to our outdoor space that I’m sure will be much-loved by pupils at break and lunch times.”

Stewart Milne Homes has a strong track record of community engagement and corporate social responsibility, having supported a number of schools across Scotland this year in its dedicated Eco Gardens initiative The donation to Dargavel Primary School aligns with their broader mission to make a positive impact within the communities in which they develop.

Our sales office is located directly opposite from Dargavel Primary School so we are looking forward to see lots of smiling faces when their new play equipment arrives and we look forward to supporting the school in the future.”

Stewart Milne Homes launched its third phase of homes at the nearby Dargavel Village development in Summer 2023.
