Andrew Black Design submitted a planning application in November to transform the Tay Street Lane Mews into a contemporary business hub accommodating some of the best of Dundee’s creative talent.

The buildings, which date back to around 1830 and are built against part of the old city wall, will be regenerated by Andrew Black Design for completion in May. The firm intends to keep the traditional facade of the building but create three modern studios inside, one of which it will occupy itself.

The remaining units will be leased to design companies.

The move is part of a planned development for the growing practice, which is looking to increase its team of six.
