#DesignPopUp Glasgow is the brainchild of Double S Events founder Sara Seravalli and brings together the best of innovative design and products under one roof.

Scotland’s influential architecture and design communities hailed #DesignPopUp a huge success when it launched in Glasgow’s Italian Centre in 2014 before moving to the Briggait last year. The exhibition returns to the beautiful Grade A listed Briggait in the Merchant City, and promises to be even bigger and better than last time.

#DesignPopUp creator Sara said: “We’re excited about bringing #DesignPopUp to Glasgow for the third time as every year the exhibition gets bigger and better. This year we’re looking forward to welcoming our new exhibitors to the #DesignPopUp family and giving them the opportunities to showcase their work alongside the companies who have helped make the event the huge success that it has become.

Since the first #DesignPopUp in 2014, the event has launched in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Manchester and is now in its third year in Glasgow. Each edition attracted hundreds of professionals from all the major architectural and design practices in the UK. In October, #DesignPopUp will go to Birmingham for the first time and return to Manchester in November.

Highlights of the Glasgow 2016 edition include the chance to see the latest offerings from several new exhibitors, a number of product launches and an installation showcasing the best of high-end Italian design, inspired by Sara’s own heritage and sponsored by Glasgow-based Spatial Furniture.

Sara, who is originally from Milan, said: “I was inspired to create the Italian garden themed installation as the perfect setting for showing the best in my home country’s high-end design: Elegant, contemporary furnishings from Arper will nestle among carefully chosen lighting from Artemide to show the latest innovations from both design houses at their best.”

#DesignPopUp Glasgow takes place in the Briggait, 141 Bridgegate, Glasgow, from Monday, June 8 to Friday, June 16, 10.30am to 5.30pm, or by appointment.
